Rebecca Rankin
|
Upon graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in architecture, Rebecca moved to San Francisco to pursue a new career in the design field. It was 2003 in San Francisco where she began her yoga practice. She found a new passion; a passion for her own self awareness and self-realization. This commenced her journey; transforming her life of design into a life of healing and helping others. Since completing her 500+ Hour Ghosh Lineage Yoga teacher training course in 2006, she continued to study other styles of yoga including Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Buti Yoga and Hot Pyro Pilates. Rebecca approaches both teaching and her own practice with compassion, passion, and dedication. She is known for her encouraging and optimistic style of teaching that incorporates both the physical and mental aspects of a yoga practice. Her positive attitude on and off the yoga mat is contagious. Rebecca has had the opportunity to travel and share her passion throughout the United States, as well as Europe and Central America leading retreats and co-leading teacher trainings. Her dedication to her practice has helped her to place 1st in the PA Regional Asana Cup '11/12 & 13/14, 7th in the USA National Asana Cup '11/12, 10th in the International Bishnu Ghosh Asana Cup '09/10, and 1st in The Netherlands Asana Cup '09/10. The Asana Sport Championship is an opportunity she uses to motivate herself in her personal practice as well as inspire others to seek the best in themselves. Rebecca was also the founder and organizer of the Pittsburgh Yoga Expo.
After owning and operating her own yoga studio in Pittsburgh, PA for 7 years, Rebecca recently made the tough decision to sell her studio and move closer to family to raise her family here in Bellaire, Michigan. She practiced yoga throughout her pregnancies up until she gave birth. She credits all the time on her yoga mat to having enjoyable pregnancies and being able to stay focused and in the present moment with her 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son. |

Brie Goodno
Yoga Instructor |
My name is Brie Goodno and I am 24 years young. I was born and raised in Traverse City but now live in Antrim County with my amazingly supportive boyfriend, Andrew and our precious puppy, Stella. I started my yoga journey in 2017 at Zen Den Yoga School in Boca Raton, Florida. When I first started practicing yoga, I was in a search for something to keep me active yet become a lifestyle that matched my spiritual perspective of the world so to me, yoga was a no brainer. I went into my training pretty much blind, only having had taken a few classes ever. I came out of school with my 200 hour certification and able to teach Hatha yoga, Vinyasya Flow and Restorative yoga along with pranayama and meditation. As well as finding my outlet for self care. I love practicing yoga and blending my movements with my breath, becoming the observer of my mind, my being and the space around me. I hope to be able to lead you into the same state of pure intention and oneness throughout my practices. Namaste

Eliza DePeel
Fitness Instructor |
Eliza DePeel is a wife and mom of 5, she loves being at home spending time with her family. Enjoying life with her children is always a top priority. She loves the outdoors and all animals. Living near a pond and woods she and her family get to enjoy a lot of wild life and enjoy the simple things.
Eliza has been collecting different workout programs since she was a teen and didn't really embrace her passion for working out until she was an adult. Now she has branched out to learning about how our bodies actually work, what they need, and how to fuel them properly. Focusing on health and fitness brought about immeasurable benefits for her, and championing others to do the same has been her greatest joy (aside from her family). She began teaching in 2016 and is certified in four different formats, and soon this number will be growing to seven. Everybody is unique; one genre of fitness might resonate for one person but may not be the most ideal for another. Eliza teaches a wide variety of classes as a result. She finds great satisfaction in helping others push themselves to new levels. Each student is considered a friend and her wish is that, when students finish a class, they are taking home a productive and memorable experience. "Failure plus Failure plus Failure equals SUCCESS! You only fail if you quit!" This also means that learning from the past, is better than living in it. Keep moving forward, and enjoy life. |
Gabrielle Coppersmith
Yoga Instructor |
A Northern Michigan native, Gabrielle grew up with a love for nature, fitness and adventure. With two loving parents and one younger sister, Gabrielle knew she could do whatever she set her mind to because she had all the support she needed from her family. After graduating high school, Gabrielle moved out to Oregon and her love grew even bigger in the mountains and the moments that she realized the world was a beautiful place full of so many different people. After five full years in Oregon, she met her soon to be husband James, and moved back to Michigan with him so she could help her sister through her high school years. Moving back to her home state brought a lot of new challenges to Gabrielle, but thankfully all these lessons brought her to the decision to start her yoga teacher training. A recent graduate of the 200 Hour YTT class of 2019 out of Traverse City, Gabrielle is enthusiastic to develop her teaching style and share her voice with the world. While she is not teaching or working, Gabrielle enjoys her free time cooking, reading, out on the water or with her two beautiful dogs Divinity and Yoko.

Kelsey Goss
Yoga Instructor |
Hey there! I'm Kelsey Goss, a new & enthusiastic Yoga Teacher originally from Battle Creek (aka Cereal City), Michigan, now living the Northern Michigan dream. When I'm not at the studio you can find me tying macrame knots, creating in the kitchen, tending to my garden, swimming in fresh water, napping on the beach, hiking through the woods, skiing down the slopes, or anywhere in nature, really! Yoga has enlightened & restored my mind, body, & spirit in infinite ways for over 10 years now, and I hope to provide my student's with the same divine experience. Whether it's high-intensity or slow burn, sculpt or yin, vinyasa or restorative- I am committed to orchestrating classes that intentionally utilize breath and point-to-point cues, educating students of ideal body mechanics and the effects of each movement on our bodies. I will craft each class to guide us through full ranges of motion, creating equanimity and maximizing the benefits of this amazing, ancient practice. Join me for a fun, fluid, full-spectrum Yoga experience - I'll see you on the mat!

Seth Gernot
Handyman & token "dude" |
When Seth isn't playing the role of 'handyman' at Yoga Bellaire, he can be found mountain biking, kicking it with his 2 little ones, and yes, he can even be found on the yoga mat. Seth loves to debunk the idea that yoga is just for the flexible. When he embarked on a 100 day yoga challenge, he could barely bend forward with straight legs. Upon day 84 of his challenge, he could touch his toes for the first time in 18 years. He credits his yoga practice to being able to work on all his 'fixer-upper' projects without the aches and pains that come with hard physical labor. With Rebecca Rankin as his wife, it means there is a lot of yoga in his life and yes, even "dudes" do yoga, too.
